Schuessler Cell Salt Calcium Sulphate (Calc. Sulp.)

This biochemic tissue remedy is known as the cleansing salt or the blood purifier because that’s what it does in the system. It helps to cleanse out all the waste matter that has collected in various parts of the body. It is a vital component of the liver where the toxins are eliminated. A lack of this salt can be seen in swollen glands and problems with the teeth and the skin. General indications could be apathy and a certain negative view of life.

Where is this salt found in the body? You’ll find in in the skin, the mucous membranes and the blood. Together with Kali Mur, this is very helpful in treating abscesses and acne. In the treatment of wounds, it is used together with Silicea. Being a great skin remedy, it also is very helpful in eczema, especially children’s dry eczema as well as boils when the pus starts coming through a vent. Calc Sulph completes the healing process. It is also used a lot in curing fibroids or cystic tumors.

In colds, cough and fever, this tissue salt is indicted when the discharge has a yellowish tinge or when the soles of the feet burn. It is also of great use when there is a thick yellow discharge from the eyes.  The ears too benefit when there is a bloody discharge and a slight deafness.

Mouth sores just on the inner surface of the lips call for this salt and it is also recommended for sore throats that are ulcerated as well as inflamed and infected tonsillitis. Diarrhea too can be controlled with this salt especially if it is due to a change of weather or if there are traces of blood in it.

This salt which is actually Plaster of Paris is one in the biochemic remedies’ calcium range, the others which are Calcarea Phos and Calcarea Flouride.
