Schuessler Cell Salt Potassium Sulphate (Kali. Sulph)

Kali Sulph or Potassium Sulphate works along with Phosphate of Iron and is a carrier of oxygen. When used in combination with Ferrum Phos, it improves respiration and circulation of blood.

The oxygen absorbed by iron in the blood corpuscles is conveyed to every cell by the joint action of Kali Sulph and iron. Life itself depends on the energizing effect of oxygen to grow and mature. The biochemic tiisue remedy helps in the nurture of healthy skin, hair and mucous membranes and maintenance of the kidneys.

A deficiency of Kali Sulph reveals itself as pigmentation marks on the face and a yellow coating on the tongue. It results in inadequate uptake of oxygen in the blood. This in turn manifests itself in bouts of chilliness, acute rheumatic pains, heat flashes, and shifting pains in the extremities.

Dosage of this salt by practitioners helps in better intake of oxygen by the blood. By opening skin pores and bringing blood vessels to the skin surface, it facilitates perspiration and cooling of temperature. Fever, especially when it rises in the evenings, responds well to it when used in alternation with Ferrum Phos.

The tissue salt is usually administered in the third stage of inflammation. It provides strength and energy to the epithelial tissues and so is the preferred treatment for skin, nail, and hair problems, dermatitis and minor eruptions like dandruff and chicken pox, which have peeling, scaling, or slimy discharge.

Deficiency of this salt is shows in catarrhal watery yellowish or greenish expectorations from mucus membranes. Consequently, the later stages of a cold when the discharge is copious and persistent respond well to Kali Sulph. The salt is beneficial for bronchitis whooping cough, dyspepsia, diarrhea, amenorrhea, delayed scanty menstruation, psoriasis, athlete's foot, and eye diseases.

Patients suffering from a deficiency will feel worse in the evening and in warm interiors. Conversely, the cool outdoors produces relief from the symptoms.
