Schuessler Cell Salt Silicon
Dioxide (Silica)
The biochemic cleanser and eliminator, Silicea or
Silicon Oxide is part of all connective tissue cells in
the body and thereby maintains healthy hair, skin, nails, and
bones.
It is vital for the initial absorption of calcium in bones and
plays a role in prevention of osteoporosis and cardiovascular
ailments. It helps the body to eject toxic waste material by
assisting in the suppuration process. It hastens the curative
process by breaking down the diseased matter e.g., skin eruptions,
septicemia, abscesses, sties, and boils. Besides removing possible
injurious matter, it assists the body to re-assimilate scar tissue.
Its action is deep and long lasting.
In a cautionary note, prolonged use of Silicea is
inadvisable in those who have implants in their body as the salt
expels foreign matter from tissues.
When treating inflammations, first Ferrum Phos and Kali Mur are generally recommended.
Only when these have failed is Silicea prescribed by biochemic
practitioners. Silicea ripens and brings the abscess to a head so
that the body can rid itself of toxins. However, when dealing with
deep-seated chronic acute abscesses and ulcerations, gouty joints,
glandular swellings, tonsillitis and foot sweats, it is the primary
remedy.
It is an important anti-stress tissue
salt and insulates the nerves. It strengthens the collagen in
brittle bones, nails, and hair and relieves impacted bowels. The
salt also regulates perspiration, both effusive and blocked sweat
glands. It is the best therapy against offensive perspiration of
the feet and armpits.
Silicea deficiency manifests itself mainly in deteriorating skin
and hair conditions and sunken eyes. Acute lack causes aversion to
light and sound, involuntary tremors of eye and facial muscles,
hostile or irritable behavior and vice-like headaches are common.
Night time, cold air and suppressed foot sweats usually aggravate
symptoms while warm surroundings ameliorate them. Among the
biochemic remedies, it is known to very
often act like a surgeon’s knife in cutting out what the body
does not need.
